Bridge

This bridge group, which meets at St Mary’s Hall, Fetcham, is a very relaxed and friendly group of about 20 -30 people. We meet from 10.00 – 12.30 on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of a month. Most people arrive at 9.45 to help set up and get in position for a 10 o’clock start!  We break for refreshments after two rounds, about 11, which gives us time to socialise and welcome new members properly. We accommodate single players and make sure that they can enjoy playing.

The annual membership of the bridge club (which pays for hall hire and other expenses) is £35. If people would prefer to pay weekly the charge is £3.00. We ask people to bring their own mug, to minimise washing up, and to contribute 50p for refreshments provided. We are always happy to welcome, and appreciate, new members.

We play Chicago, to ACOL rules, but are not draconian in any way, a very relaxed bunch! If you are a beginner, you would be most welcome; all we ask is that you have some basic knowledge, either from attending a bridge class or learning via the many excellent online resources, such as No Fear Bridge. We are not, however, a teaching group, as we do not have sufficient resources.

If you would like further information, please feel free to phone or email me.
