Leatherhead and District

u3a

Leatherhead & District u3a was founded in 1998 to provide a range of learning and social activities for residents of the local area who are no longer in full time employment.  The United Reform Church in Epsom Road which stood where Christ Church Apartments are  now, was the regular venue for our monthly meetings until 2020.  Once the URC closed we changed our venue to Fetcham Village Hall. which is is located in The Street, Fetcham, KT22 9QS. This has good parking and suits us for location.

Our monthly meetings, held on the third Thursday of the month at 2pm in Fetcham Village Hall, are an opportunity for members to meet socially.  Each month we invite a guest speaker, ensuring a wide range of subjects are covered throughout the year. Following the Speaker, our Chair person updates us on latest news, activities, trips etc and finally we enjoy a cup of tea or coffee whilst still having time for a chat.

Visitors are most welcome to join us, just leave your name with the Registration team, have a look around and enjoy the talk at 2 pm.

Our study and interest groups are run by the members for the members, in appropriate venues, generally the members’ own homes. Some groups research and visit gardens, churches or buildings locally or further afield.

In addition, there are various outings, holidays, short breaks and social events throughout the year.  Our holidays and visits are popular opportunities to go further afield with a group of friends.

Leatherhead u3a offers everyone the opportunity to enjoy activities, learn new skills, explore old and new interests, share your knowledge, meet up with old friends, make new ones and have fun!!

Watch our new animated film Live later life to the full - a new u3a film -  which showcases the community and fun to be found within u3a. So take a moment to get a cup of tea and enjoy the film.
